Improvement of the Disaster Protection System of the Republic of Bulgaria
Subject of analysis is the disaster protection system of Bulgaria and the opportunities for improvement. The research covers the unified rescue system, defined in Articles 20-22 of the Disaster Protection Law, as well as other state authorities with competencies in the strategic management of disaster protection. The importance of the topic is determined by the constant trend of increasing the number of disasters on the territory of our country and the rising number of victims of these disasters. The purpose of the analysis is to support the review of the implementation of the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria by analyzing the existing disaster protection system and formulating recommendations for its improvement.
