Mr. Kamen Iliev, Director of the Center for National Security and Defense Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) had the honor of attending the solemn ceremony on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the founding of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
The ceremony, which took place on December 3 in Sofia, gathered over 200 guests and highlighted the long-standing contribution of the BCCI as one of the oldest and most active business institutions in Bulgaria and the Balkan Peninsula.
Highlights of the ceremony:
• The event was honored by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, who presented the Chamber with the Honorary Badge of the President, in recognition of its contribution to the development of the modern economy and the expansion of foreign trade relations.
• Also present were Prince Boris Tarnovski, ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions, as well as leading industry organizations.
• Special awards were presented to companies with a long history and a sustainable presence in the Bulgarian economy, as well as to individuals and media with contributions to the Chamber’s activities.
