On July 28, 2021, a discussion on the topic “Investments as a Factor for China’s Global Positioning” was organized by the Sofia Security Forum and the Center for National Security and Defense Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The guest lecturer of the discussion was Mirela Petkova, a researcher of independent practice and a contributor to Energy Monitor, focusing on the policy and economics behind the energy transition and the path to global climate neutrality. The discussion was moderated by Jordan Bozhilov, the chairman of the Sofia Security Forum.
