Objective of the conference:
In the absence of a law on crisis management problems with the organization of interaction between different institutions in Bulgaria continues to be decided by various secondary legislations. But these documents are difficult to build administrative capacity for future synergies not only between the various institutions and organizations for protection, but also with partners from the EU and NATO. In this respect, "George Marshall - Bulgaria" have the following objectives for the discussion forum : "Civil -military interaction in disasters - preparation and response.".
On 10 December 2013, the Center for National Security and Defense Research as a partner in the project for establishment of the Technology transfer office, participated in the anniversary conference “Innovations in Geo-spatial technology for sustainable and secure environment”, with the Ministry of Economy and Energetics, Ministry of Environment and the Bulgarian academy of science. The conference was under the patronage of her Excellency Anik Van Kalster ambassador of Belgium kingdom in Bulgaria.
On November 27, 2013 representatives of CNSDR participated in the International Conference „Smart Defense and Open-Door Policy: The New Synergies for Euro-Atlantic Security ”, organized by PanEuropa Bulgaria, the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy - Berlin and the Representation of the European Commission - Sofia, with NATO support.
On 11 November 2013 the CNSDR and Sofia security forum organized a round table meeting for specialists which main objectives were questions and discussions about the refugees. The round table meeting was a prolongation of the National conference from 21 and 22 October 2013 with the main objective to unite the administrative, scientific and analytic capacity of the country to search for a solution of the main problem to the National security.
